  26. F E A T U R E S:  
  27.  
  28. * PERSISTANCE: Kbd sticks on your button line next to the alphabet chooser 
  29.     and the standard keyboard icon...WHEE!!!
  30.  
  31. * ICONIFICATION: The MinMax button will let you hide away the keyboard when
  32.     you don't  need it and pop it back when you do. The MinMax button looks
  33.     like a little square attached to a bigger square.  This is especially 
  34.     convenient when the persistant icon is covered by an app.
  35.  
  36. * REMEMBERED LOCATIONS: The floating keyboard and icon locations are
  37.     remembered for consistancy. To move the keyboard or icon, drag the
  38.     border.
  39.  
  40. * POPUP EXTRAS: The Extras button which looks like a file folder will let you
  41.     access your applets and the builtin extras conserving  screen space.
  42.     Just click for a list of applets or press and hold until you hear the
  43.     "poof" sound and release for the builtins and books.
  44.     
  45. * REPEATING KEYS: Delete, Space and the Left/Right keys all repeat after a
  46.     delay.  Just keep holding the key to start multiple deletes, etc. If
  47.     you undo after this operation, >all< changes are restored!  
  48.  
  49. * MULTIPLE KEYBOARDS: Current keyboards include punctuation, numeric elements
  50.     and the alphabet. To the right of the minimize button, the Keyboards
  51.     button leads you to a list of keyboard  alternatives.  Send in your
  52.     ideas for new keyboards. The keyboards button looks like a stack of
  53.     keyboards, a filing cabinet or a triple domino depending on the time
  54.     of day and degree of inebriation.

  56. * TIMESTAMP: A special timestamp in the information [?] pane lets you
  57.     mark  the date and time.
  58.     
  59. * DIRECT ACCESS TO STYLES: The Styles button, next to the folder, gives you
  60.     immediate access to the styles slip. Super convenient! The styles
  61.     button looks like a set of line widths with a check next to them.

  63. * MOVEMENT AND EDIT KEYS: A standard palette appears next to the keyboard
  64.     supporting forward and backward delete, superbullet (bullet, return,
  65.     space),    tab, space,. return, move left and move right.

  67. * SELECT ALL: tap on any part of the text (get the cursor blinking in the text, that is) then
  68.     press the square "select all" button between the left and right movement keys.
  69.     All the text is selected.  Perfect for changing font  for long meeting notes!

  105. 1. I figured out how to shrink protokeyboards (set saveBounds rather than
  106.     viewBounds) so the caret is now implemented.  
  107. 2. You can move left and right (but not yet up and down) non-destructively. I
  108.      used Unicodes FS and GS but still haven't found the right ones for
  109.     the  UP/DOWN...  
  110. 3. Keyboards now include (a) standard (b) short movement/delete/etc  (c)
  111.     numeric (d) alphabet.  If you have ideas for others send 'em to me.  
  112.     User custom kbds are still in the future.   
  113. 4. The script "i" leads directly to the styles dialog.  
  114. 5. Click on the folder pick from user applets.  Press and hold on the folder,
  115.     releasing when you hear "poof" and you will get the builtins and
  116.     books.  
  117. 6. Common keyboard functions: (tab, delete, left, right, space, return) have
  118.     their own palette area to the right of the keys. 
  119. 7. The multiple keyboard icon has changed to "stack of keyboards". (Use your
  120.     imagination.

  124. 1. Multiple keyboards are supported, even if the alternate ones are pretty
  125.     dumb. The heavy [+] button gets you there. [CHANGED in 0.4 to the

  128.     user added apps, the file cabinet gets you the builtin ones [Changed
